Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Easy and effective elimination of negative emotions
You may have already heard of EFT, also commonly referred to as 'tapping'. It is a relatively simple technique which works on the premise that unresolved negative emotions cause disruption to the body's energy systems and are a major contributor to most physical disorders as well. It works a bit like a version of acupuncture but without the use of needles.

EFT is very effective in reducing the impact of emotional issues related to deep-seated traumas, addictions, phobias, poor self-esteem and performance anxiety as well as alleviating mental stress, reducing associated pain and functional disorders where emotions play a role.
Although EFT is an easy technique to learn and to use on yourself, identifying the exact emotions and staying on track may be difficult for you to do on your own. Or if the emotions are hidden away, or suppressed in any way, you are not likely to be able to access them. A practitioner-lead session is recommended especially for any deep-seated issues where childhood trauma is involved, for addictions of any sort, or where you are not sure of the emotional triggers. More than one issue and any underlying emotions can be cleared in a single session.
So if you are finding it difficult to overcome current issues or would like to proactively clear out unrecognised emotional blocks from your past that you suspect are still affecting you, then this could be a therapy worth trying. The easy-to-use tapping sequence can even be mastered by children and is perfect to use in current stressful experiences such as bullying, exam fear, sleep disorders and the like.

This technique has proven successful in the treatment of a range of issues including depression and grief, eradicating the fear of public speaking or flying and other paralysing phobias. It can also be used to build self-esteem and improve your sporting achievements.
You will be taught the basic tapping technique to stimulate the specific energy meridian points on the head and torso by tapping on them with your fingertips over your clothing. Once you have learned the easy pattern of tapping, along with a quick shortcut to use especially during an emotional crisis, you can effectively use it anywhere, anytime. Tapping provides a great tool to maintain calmness during times of stress, or to support the overcoming of addictions.
